1. Information We Collect

YourVideo AI collects only the minimal data required to provide you with video clipping and conversion services:

• Account Information: When you register an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password hash. Passwords are never stored in plain text; they are protected with cryptographic PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 salted hashing.
• Uploaded Video Content: Video files that you explicitly upload (MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI) to create Shorts.
• Generated Artifacts: The resulting vertical 9:16 video clips, SRT subtitle files, titles, descriptions, and hashtags generated by the studio.
• Session Information: Authenticated sessions use a signed HTTP-only browser cookie (yv_session) to maintain your login securely.

2. How Video Processing Works

When you submit a video to the studio:

• Your source file is saved to an isolated server directory assigned specifically to your job ID.
• To perform speech-to-text transcription, an audio-only track is extracted. When external AI processing is enabled, this audio sample is processed through Groq's secure transcription endpoint to generate timestamped text segments.
• When AI highlight finding is enabled, transcript segments are analyzed by the AI model to suggest engaging clip timestamps and video metadata.
• Video rendering occurs directly on our server instance. Your video frames are never used to train public generative foundation models.

3. File Retention & Storage Practices

Uploaded video files, project metadata, and generated output clips remain stored in your private account workspace so you can preview, download, or review your Shorts history at any time.

Your content is private to your registered account. We do not make your uploaded footage or generated clips publicly discoverable or accessible to other registered users.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or video content with advertisers or data brokers. Third-party data interaction is strictly limited to:

• AI Processing Providers: If AI-assisted mode is active on the server, audio snippets and speech transcripts are transmitted securely via encrypted HTTPS to Groq API solely to execute transcription and text formatting.
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose data only if strictly required by applicable law, regulation, or valid court order.

5. Creator Rights & Intellectual Property

You retain 100% ownership of your original video footage and all generated clips and subtitle files. YourVideo AI claims no intellectual property rights or licensing claims over the videos you process.

6. Security

We implement standard security safeguards including signed session cookies, parameter validation, rate safeguards, and isolated file system paths to protect your data against unauthorized access.
